While we have used these for our tent, we originally bought and primarily use them for our Slip 'n' Slide and Christmas lawn decorations. Although they're plastic, they are just as sturdy as metal ones and we like the fact that they're thicker at the bottom than others we've used. They've worked perfectly for all of our purposes.

I've used plastic tent stakes in the past, but these ones suck. Don't bother getting them, save the effort and wasted money by getting some nicer quality ones. They broke and bent on the first use.
