I take great pride in the incredibly light weight of my pack. I filed mine down to drop the diameter even more then cut them off two inches and bent them to stick in the dirt better. I brag about these babies to everybody; friends, bears, squirrels, stumps, etc. Anyone who will listen and some who don't. Yes, these could be a little lighter (thinner) but it would be at the expense of the strength needed to function in rocky soil. I'm sure the orange heads will keep me from losing at least one per campsite. I carry some of these and some of the titanium sand/snow stakes also made by Vargo. Fits my needs perfectly.
